My name is Maxime Poueydebat and I am living in the south west of France right next to the French Pyrenees mountains. Having always done sports, here I am now 5 years into the canicross sport.
I started with my Australian shepherd Namaste ( now aged 8 ) and it’s because of her that I learned to love the sport.
In 2022, I bought a new puppy who joined the team, his name is Treck as he is a now big and strong European Sled Dog. It has now been 1 year that I have started competing with him at competitions. We have already some good performances at races and I think our team has a bright future.
Outside of canicross I also do some trail running and road running.
What do I like most about canicross ? It’s the connection and the bond that we form… it’s also a mental challenge for me with all the trainings that come before racing which makes me always want to push my limits and to always give my best with him until the finish line.
